In the time of nice weather, the view from peaks:

Krivan (2494 m high), Baranec (2184 m high), Bystra (2248 m high), Salatin (2047 m high), Brestova (1902 m high), Poludnica (1548 m high) and from the others is exciting.

Extremely landscape attractive is Kvacianska Valley (26,5 km) in territory Hills of Choč. Its magic makes wooden folk architecture and the mill in locality Oblazy.

Nearby Prosiecka Valley (30,5 km) is adorned of the 15 m tall waterfall, witch in central part dips in underground space. The educational path leads trough both valleys.

Do you have a fancy for a bit exacting off-road ascents and downhill? Decidedly you try track, what leads trough Kvacianska Valley.

If you prefer only recreating cycle, it offers you interesting road round Liptovska Mara to archaeological locality Havranok (26 km), where has been restored part of Keltic village from the iron time. (300-100 B.C.). (Open June - September 10.00 - 17.00)

If the weather is adverse there is an excellent opportunity for visiting available caves. The most visited one is Demanovska Cave of Liberty (21 km), which belong to the most beautiful caves in Europe. From its length 8 400 m is accessed for public 1,8 km.

Since February till the end of November is accessed Vazecka Cave (17 km), in summer Demanovska Ice Cave (18,5 km) - in longitude of 650 m.

People with adventure character can close input in the caves not open for public with a member of Slovak spelaean institute.

Hearts of lovers of folk architecture will quick after visiting the Museum of Liptov village in Pribilina (14,5 km), the youngest open-air museum in Slovak Republic. It was open in 1991. It comes to existent by the building water pool of Liptovská Mara intending to save the most valuable landmarks.

In the village Paludza, in this time yet floated village, there used to stay a unique wooden church, which belong to the largest wooden buildings in Central Europe. Entire building of the church was moved to village Svaty Kriz (20 km). The curiosity of this evangelical church is the fact, it is constructed without any iron nail and it is a masterpiece of Master Jozef Lang, who could neither read, nor write. The other interesting church you can find in village Liptovske Sliace - this church was built in style of Noah's ark.

Every year at Vychodna (10 km) there takes place the best known and the biggest folklore festival at Slovakia under the auspices of international organisation C.I.O.F.F.

The weater pool Liptovska Mara offers wide facilities for water sports (shuttles, water bike, surfs, scooters and etc.)

The kayak complex, where use to train the Olympic winner from Atlanta Michal Martikan, is situated in Liptovsky Mikulas.

The thermal spring and swimming pool in Liptovsky Jan (10,5 km) might treat painful joints, digestive tract, etc. The pool with teperature of water 14,8 - 29,4°C is open in summer season since Tuesday to Sunday 9.00 - 21.00.

The thermal springs in Besenova (26 km) rises from deep of 1980 m with temperature 62°C and thanks to that the air - swimming pool is opened entire year. Pools are filled with water about 36°C - 40°C. Mineral source is curative remedy especially for patients suffering from diseases of the extremities - breath way, skin, etc.
